I am a new mom and I want to know ways to save money?
Posted by admin on May 26, 2010
i want to know different ways to save money on baby things and groceries… also where can i get free samples??
COUPONS!!!
Try to gather as much as possible and buy clothes at kmart and even family dollar. They are kids and don’t know what expensive means.
try buying things that are on clearance they are the best.
For food, instead of gerber go with beach nut or organics.
the best thing to do is to try to buy for that whole month.Better saying the more y buy at one time the less you spend in 4-5 times shopping for diapers/wipes.
What i do is that i go to sam’s club with sister and buy the big 205 diapers for $40. If i was to buy a small box of 60 diapers which is $22, doing the math im saving-plus the bx of 205 last me 1month.
Also my sister’s baby is 5months older so she hands me all her gently used clothes so my baby can wear it, it not i don’t buy my baby clothes.
SO FAR I HAVE SAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO GET ALL MY BILLS–TOTAL OF $1200-1500MONTHLY– PAID ON TIME AND MY BABY IS 15 MONTHS!!
Does this sound like my boyfriend was flirting with another girl?
Posted by admin on May 5, 2010
This might sound stupid, immature or whatever else you may think but it bothered me-period! My boyfriend of 3 years and I got in a petty argument yesterday while on the way to my parents house for a dinner party. We stopped at the grocery store and were still a bit annoyed with eachother. He was walking a little behind me and I look behind me and he had stopped at a free sample table to try some kind of energy water. The person at the table is a young and attractive female. I walk over next to him while on the phone with my mom, I don’t know if she knew we were together or not. She is very smiley and says "Oh are you from New York" (Because of his NY Yankee hat) and he laughed for a second and said no I am just a fan, people ask me that a lot. Then she said something I couldn’t understand about his hat while still smiling. Then my boyfriend and I walk away and he says "ok see ya." This whole thing lasted maybe a minute or less. I might be crazy but for me I felt uncomfortable! I felt like when I walked over he didn’t act like I was with him and it was just weird and uncomfortable for me! I felt like she was trying to flirt with him and he was accepting it. I told him how i felt and he went on about how he was not flirting and I am being crazy and if it had been a man saying the same things I wouldn’t have cared and so on. What do you guys think?
I completely understand how you feel. I am the exact same way. Not to be rude, but I think it has to do with our insecurities. The more confident in yourself, the less this kind of thing would affect you. If you know your boyfriend truly loves you, I wouldn’t worry about what happened. Maybe since you got in a fight he was just trying to make you a little jealous. Or maybe he didn’t mean anything by it at all. It sounds like the girl was flirting with HIM more than anything. Just make sure that you have an open mind when it comes to relationships and just talk to him about it if it still bothers you. Just make sure you’re calm when you talk to him and don’t shun him for it. Guys get really annoyed easily and they will accuse you of being paranoid. Hope this helps!
Some Proven Methods for Internet Marketing Success!
Posted by admin on Apr 29, 2010
There are hundreds of ways that you can promote your online business or website, some more effective than others. These five proven methods will help you to generate traffic to your site and also to generate income into your wallet.
1. One thing that appeals to everyone is “free.” If it is free people will take it. Think of the samples of cheese given away at grocery stores. Do you really want a small piece of cheese? Of course not! But you take it simply because it is free and someone is nice enough to offer it to you. The same principle applies with information or services offered from your website. You can send out free newsletters or offer a free trail period. One popular thing that is being given away now is free credit reports or free PC scans. These freebies are what we in the marketing field like to call teasers. After running the free credit report or PC scan we alert the customer if there is something found on their credit record or PC and then offer to show them what it is or repair the problem for a price. This can be an effective way to get information to your potential customers, create sales or to generate traffic to your site.
2. Your website contains information about a service or product that you are very knowledgeable about. You can use this knowledge to generate traffic to your site by writing articles in your area of expertise and having them published in an ezine or an article information site. The most effective way to use these articles is to write them for free and ask in return that the publisher allow you to include a byline. A byline is a very short summary of the author, for more details visit to www.tube-pros-espects.com their credentials and their website. Your byline is a way that readers will come to know you as an expert on the topic and will in turn come to trust your site as a source of credible information.
3. Some search engines will allow a website to purchase their ranking. This is an excellent Internet marketing technique in that it is effective and inexpensive. In the pay-per-click programs, website is only billed for those who actually visit the page, unlike banner ads which may be seen by millions but only used by a few. When using the pay-per-click program you are asked to choose keywords and when those are entered our site will appear and if the surfer chooses to view your site, for more details visit to www.mrx-interview.com you are billed for that click. Many pay-per-click programs will offer other benefits as well, such as updated lists of commonly used keywords.
4. You should remember that others are in the same boat as you. You can choose to network with those who have similar marketing ideas. When networking you will be able to share links and refer customers to each other. You should always be very cautious when choosing a networking partner as everything that you recommend is a reflection of yourself or your product and therefore, you should be certain that your networking partner is a reputable source of information.
5. Simply because your website is online, doesn’t mean that all your advertising should be. Advertise in newspapers, TV, the radio or you can even send out a press release to get your information to thousands of people all over the country

Why do people always complain about whether a person deserves a title(more inside)?
Posted by admin on Apr 13, 2010
This is only towards WWE and TNA(not counting the TNA world title though for the most part that is still somewhat a true title)since most people on here don’t watch the promotions that actually treat their titles like real titles.
What does it matter about deserving a title when really WWE and TNA dont treat the majority of their titles like they mean something. They pass out title reigns like they are free samples in a grocery store. Its not like any of the titles truly have prestige anymore, especially not when world titles have already changed hands 3 times this year and its only april my god that is just pitiful. So does it really matter anymore in today’s wrestling if a person truly deserves to have a title. Shouldn’t it just be if the person entertains you as champion thats enough. No need to go and say oh I like this wrestler but its just not his time WTF, really someone doesn’t deserve a title that is being passed around like a thai prostitute at a bachelor party come on guys. As long as you like the person who has the title that should be good enough today.
This is a response to people I have seen actually go I like jack swagger or sheamus but then go to say I just don’t think they deserve it or are ready. And you can go ahead and insert any newer wrestler who wins a title and has that said about them
I agree with you for the most part.
Most of the champions in both organizations aren’t the most deserving in essence, but rather just the most over, and who the company feels is the most over in their respective division/title scene. Not everyone that holds a title is going to be considered "deserving" of it, but most of the time, being "deserving" doesn’t matter at all.
And really, how do most fans know who is the most "deserving"? Simple: they don’t.
Why cant everything in the grocery have a free sample?
Posted by admin on Mar 24, 2010
I like to sample the toilet paper before I buy it.
other than the toilet paper, your first part would be pretty cool. it’d be great to go have a little snack and a beer in the afternoon.
POLL: How often do you take advantage of free samples?
Posted by admin on Mar 18, 2010
When you’re in the grocery store perhaps, do you just go right for them, push people out of your way, grap ten and throw them in your pocket. Or do you circle the area, see if they got what you like then make your move? Of course for me it’s the first one, if they have chocolate things can get violent…police had to be called once, apparently I was considered “mentally unstable”.
So which is it for you?
hellooo! u take the whole thing a run!

Is my Dad too cheap or is he insane?
Posted by admin on Mar 6, 2010
My Dad recently lost his job. As a result, he has imposed all these rules to save money. I think they are rather extreme. He says, we have no choice. What do you think? Here are some changes we have made:
- We are only allowed 2 showers a week. The shower protocol is: turn on shower for 10 seconds, shut off water and soap up; turn shower back on and rinse for no longer than 2-3 minutes. He also has us using free soap/shampoo samples he stole from some local hotel/motel.
-We can’t wash towels anymore. The towels are all stinky after multiple uses and starting to smell like meldew. He says we can air dry
- We are required to cut back on toliet paper use and we arent allowed to flush the toliet. He flushes it once in the morning. It is really gross to come home from school then use the bathroom. It is usually filled with urine and feces by the time I get home. He insists on flushing in the morning that way it can sit overnight and it doesnt stand a chance of clogging. SOmething about the water breaking everything down overnight so its flushes better
-We steal WIFI from the neighbors
-We have starting eating $1 cheeseburgers from burgerking or the 2 for $3.33 fish fillets from mcdonalds for dinner. He says its cheaper than creating a bunch of dirty dishes and paying for groceries.
Is this too extreme? I am thinking of talking to my teacher about it. He also says we can not turn the heat above 60 degrees in the house and arent allowed to have any lights on past 8pm.
why dont you give him some of that money you’re paying women to go para-sailing lol
How do you spend less money?
Posted by admin on Mar 2, 2010
What are things you have done to save money? I’ve many so many changes since two years ago, so I’m listing everything I’m doing now that I used to not do before. Here goes:
Electricity
-I unplug everything that is not in use. I save about half of my electricity.
-I try to do all or most of my homework during the day. When its dark, I go to the library which is 2 minutes away and closes late so I wont use the lights at home.
-I use my laptop and I charge it at school, library, or starbucks.
-Over the summer, forget the air conditioner. I use a fan (and I always turn it off when I leave the room) or I stay outside and go hang out in air conditioned places.
-My family tends to stay in the same room so we have the lights on in only one room at a time
-We use fluorescent lightbulbs. They use so much less energy (75% less) and last a lot longer than regular ones (I used to have to replace my bulbs every 2-3 months. Now with fluorescent lightbulbs I haven’t had to replace it in over two years)
Extra Expenses
-I dont have internet. I use someone else’s wireless.
-I don’t have cable. You can find almost any show online at Hulu.com or something. Maybe even youtube. Besides, getting rid of cable means you’ll have the TV turned on less often and you’ll save electricity.
-I used to have netflix and paid $20 a month. Then I realized I can get almost all of these movies for free at the library! For those movies I cant get at the library, netflix has this thing where you can put your account on hold for 90 days at a time.
-When I go to the movies, I buy a child’s ticket at the machine (they rarely really check anyway) and I see more than one movie at a time.
Transportation
-Since I live in New York City, we dont have a car. That way we dont have to pay $300+ monthly on parking.
-For New Yorkers, sharing an unlimited metrocard with friends and family saves so much money.
Food and household products
-I always eat at home and I take my own lunch to school
-When buying groceries or household items, I never get anything full price. Always one sale!
-Eat less. I used to overeat a lot. I spent so much money on food and I got sick more. Now I eat normally and I spend less money on food and medical expenses and I have a better body.
-It’s really cheap, but I usually go into fast food restaurants and take napkins. I haven’t bought paper towels in over a year.
-I go to Costco’s often (I carpool with friends) and I save SO much money.
-I dont buy water bottles. $1 a day or twice a day is too much. I save $30-$60 per month and I buy a refillable SIGG bottle and get water from home.
-I dont usually buy name brands.
Medical
-To avoid constant trips to the doctor’s office, I have a notebook full of questions so I can ask him all these questions in one visit. When he prescribes something, I ask him for samples. If I need to get the prescription, I avoid the pharmacy and get them online. Much cheaper.
Pets
-They’re really expensive. Expect to pay over $60 monthly on food alone. One annual check up with the vet can easily cost you $300. Emergencies/medications/surgeries can cost you thousands of dollars. If you dont have pets, then I suggest you keep it that way. But if you really want one or you already have pets and dont want to find them a new home (like me!), then you can still save.
-I always buy my cats things on sale. And I mix their litter with shredded paper. That way one 25lb box of litter lasts about 4 months.
-Don’t overfeed your pets. Same reason you shouldnt overeat. More food expenses and more health issues.
Entertainment/ Vacation
-You dont always have to spend money. Hang out with friends at home, have a picnic (money on food, but that’s minimal if everyone pitches in).
-There are places that are free on certain days. For example, here in NYC, the bronx zoo is pay what you wish on wednesdays. For me that means free. The Met museum of art is always pay what you wish.
-I tend to go on vacation when prices are cheaper. So I avoid holiday vacations and long weekend vacations.
Living Space
-If you’re really short of cash, which many New Yorkers are, you can always rent a spare bedroom. You’d be surprised at how much people would pay for a bedroom in NYC.
I also don’t use toilet paper at all. I just wait until I shower the next day to clean myself.
Just kidding.
Since I started doing all these things, we’ve saved up at thousands of money annually.
I just wanted to put some of these ideas out there and maybe find out what other people are doing?
Dan, I get what you mean, and I’ve thought of it too. But when we share metrocards, its not like we go out of our way to share it. We usually have different schedules. I commute in the morning and she commutes at night, so we thought it didnt make sense to buy two metrocards. If we needed to though, we would buy a second one.
And I figured if someone didnt want someone else to use their wireless, they would use a password, right?
Sounds like you are doing OK. Other ideas are:
Cut down water wastage – don’t leave tap running when brushing teeth. Same applies to shower.
Use timer for hot water immersion. Mine is set for one hour twice a day. I don’t need to have constant hot water during the hours I am out.
Cook several meals at once. It takes less power to reheat or microwave later.
See if you can delay your weekly shop by one day. In theory, by the 7th day, you should have a week’s spending money in hand.
Defer haircuts for an extra week or two, or grow hair long. Use face flannel to mop up excess water drops from body after shower, or from hair after washing. Towel stays almost dry, needs less laundering.
Dry laundry on clothes horse indoors or on clothesline in open air
