HELP! San Diego, CA: Where I can get free food/groceries fast.?

I am a 19 year old student working full time at 2 jobs. I live with my friend of 7 years in a one bedroom apartment in San Diego, CA. We still cannot afford groceries and while she receives some government help with food stamps, it just doesn’t cover the cost of food. I need help find other places to recieve very basic foods for free to get us through this month (pasta, rice, some meats or other protiens, etc.)
I usually hate hand outs, or asking, but I really need help. I’ve been letting the problem progress, waiting to "figure it out" but now we litterally have only condiments and a few slices of bread left to eat, but no money.
Please help us with ANY information about local organizations that might hand out food. I’ve also tried looking for some kind of soup kitchen with little luck.
I myself have gone over the income limit on receiving food from the San Diego Food bank by about $100- $200 a month for the past few months, and have been unable to qualify.

You need to learn to budget. How you can work 2 full time jobs, only pay for 1/2 the rent on a 1 bedroom apartment, and not have enough money for food? Is she working 2 full time jobs? Where is your money going?!
In the meantime, you and your girlfriend need to call your family and ask for a loan. Maybe you can find some things to sell at a flea market for extra cash. Or best of all, one of you needs to get at least part time work at a restaurant or grocery store. You’ll benefit from the employee discount.

Do you have parents? Does she? Their kitchen is usuallya great place to get free eats. Otherwise, here is something I used to do when I was like 10-11 years old.
If you know a 10 year old, do it.
Order food from a pizza place for pickup. Wait about an hour and a half, then have him go to the pizza place, and ask if they have any extra food. Tell them you will fold boxes or somthing. They will give you that order you placed that no body picked up.
We used to do it like once a week. They started to give us free food even if we didn’t ask.

I hear your problem but can only answer with hope, that you not only solve your problem, but that of your friend as well, and maybe that friend may find the source of your wisdom, and share it with others…surely any church that backs its name will help you. And there are many churches…and when they help you…ask what can you do for them, and maybe, that will solve others problems. I have heard it said, To give a man fish, you will feed him for a day,…To teach a man how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime…its just a thought, and that is all you need….didn’t mean to get deep on ya’..I was merely strolling in Avatar World….but this is the drink forum, and I think i”llhave an other one..to go!
