I am a new mom and I want to know ways to save money?

Posted by admin on May 26, 2010

i want to know different ways to save money on baby things and groceries… also where can i get free samples??

COUPONS!!!
Try to gather as much as possible and buy clothes at kmart and even family dollar. They are kids and don’t know what expensive means.
try buying things that are on clearance they are the best.
For food, instead of gerber go with beach nut or organics.
the best thing to do is to try to buy for that whole month.Better saying the more y buy at one time the less you spend in 4-5 times shopping for diapers/wipes.
What i do is that i go to sam’s club with sister and buy the big 205 diapers for $40. If i was to buy a small box of 60 diapers which is $22, doing the math im saving-plus the bx of 205 last me 1month.
Also my sister’s baby is 5months older so she hands me all her gently used clothes so my baby can wear it, it not i don’t buy my baby clothes.

SO FAR I HAVE SAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO GET ALL MY BILLS–TOTAL OF $1200-1500MONTHLY– PAID ON TIME AND MY BABY IS 15 MONTHS!!

Contrary to popular belief, babies and small children need very little. You don’t need all the fancy creams, powders and bath oils and posh clothes. Cotton wool and warm water is perfectly adequate for nappy changing, plain soap for washing and babygros and hand knitted jumpers to wear and you’re good to go. Think that baby needs comfort and love and very little else and screw anyone who judges you for not having nike sneakers….

Breastmilk only for 6 months, no juice, no water, it’s recommended by the W.H.O. and I can tell you that it works, is all baby needs and the bond you get it fantastic. Then just puree your own food without salt or sugar, baby food is expensive and unnecessary and in any case if you breastfeed for 6 months, they get teeth and can manage solid food anyway. Carry on breastfeeding for as long as you can, there’s nothing more rewarding and it’s free!

Neither do you need posh prams with matching bags, get a baby harness (to carry baby close to you, lovely) and a simple stroller that’s light and folds up easy, that’s all you need.

Second hand baby clothes are barely worn and often as good as new, same goes for toddler clothes and toys. Small children will play with almost anything and often prefer simple everyday objects just as much as the latest electronic toys. They won’t get spoiled and will grow up appreciating the simple things in life. Imagine your child just wanting to go play outside and not stuck in front of a tv or computer screen all day, how good would that be? It’s up to you! Good luck xxx

The best way to save on baby things is craigslist.org. You can sign up online for samples from Johnson and Johnson, Enfamil, Beech Nut, and Pampers. One big thing I think more people should know about is Target generics! Their diapers are just as good as Pampers and half the price. They’re AWESOME. Even if you’re not someone who likes generics, try them. You’ll love them.

there is alot of free baby sample and coupon sites you just have to google them.Try looking at brand name sites like pampers.com or enfamil.com. i am a very frugal person.i wait for yard sales…i goto thrift stores..i goto the back of stores to look for that big clerance sticker. i am 18 years old and i know im young but i have a 8month old daughter and i can say me & my daughter are well put together even with the economy low.
