I want to sell my recipe for chip dip through grocery stores, How can I do this?

I already have an idea for the manufacturing process, i just need more ideas for marketing the product like how to get the word out so people are aware of it, like doing free sample at a grocery store and such.

In most places, food that is sold for public consumption has to be manufactured under controlled conditions, in approved premises, with specialized equipment and regulatory oversight. That includes health department inspections, certificates and licensing. You are also going to need certificates of insurance, in case someone claims they got sick from your dip.

Until you have that all under control, you don’t need to worry about marketing, because noone will buy it for resale.

it has become very popular in todays society to shop (at least for higher income brackets) in specialty groceries that sell locally made/grown products, organics, etc. I worked for one a while back and they actively sought small local mfgrs. of unique food items to carry in the store…I would suggest calling ones in your area and setting up a appointment with the buyers there to make your sales pitch…then you can at least get your foot in the door…be ready to have a excellent, well thought out, professional (but not corporate style, keep your personal flair and excitement for the product) presentation. hope this helps!
