Since when is Kit Kat a Nestle product?
Posted by admin on Feb 22, 2010
So I was looking at the fan page on facebook of kit kats and just about all the photos were a different label with NESTLE on it! Ok now I go to grocery stores, gas stations and the like all the time and they are STILL the same ol’ Hershey product. Heck I’ve even been to Hershey PA and have gotten free Kit Kat samples. So will someone explain to me how Nestle got their name on this delicious chocolate bar and why in the world haven’t I seen this "nestle" product in stores?!
In the US it is made by Hershey but in the rest of the world by Nestle.

You haven’t seen it in stores because the Nestle Kit Kat doesn’t exist in the United States. It originated in the United states but is now owned by Nestle. In the States it is currently produced under license by Hershey.
KIT KAT is the number one selling candy bar in the U.K. KIT KAT is a licensed brand from Societe Des Produits Nestle S.A.
Hershey Foods Corporation’s original licensing agreement was executed with Rowntree Products in 1969. In 1988, Nestle purchased Rowntree.

as far as i have known kit kat was made by nestle
‘guess that explains the crappy flavor"(
since all they do is reduce the quality of whatever product they buy.
also it’s the only type available in Europe and Asia.
